  • Founded Valencia Design Studio in January 2010 to create audience engagement through graphic design campaigns for political campaigns, entertainment groups, technology firms, governmental agencies and advocacy organizations on time and on budget. Grew the business to accommodate work for two additional part-time freelance designers
  • Co-founded www.sfwebfactory.com in 2012 to provide cost-effective content management system (CMS) websites for small businesses and non-profits through the WordPress publishing platform
  • Collaborated with senior-level executives on design materials including brochures, direct mail, posters, invitations, fact sheets, co-branded event materials, tee shirt art, yard signs and other assorted collateral through the use of industry-standard digital publishing software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Produced digital newsletters, e-mail campaigns and social media activation materials on behalf of a wide array of Fortune-500 companies, state-wide political campaigns and local elected officials
  • Created infinite PowerPoint sales templates for a leading consumer-to-consumer marketplace, a Bay Area Housing Coalition and a national political consulting firm, among others

JUNE 2008 – JANUARY 2010 | Sr. VP, Lester Connect Political Media

  • Wrote and strategically implemented targeted messaging to win campaigns at the Congressional, State and local level through polling and focus group analysis, district demographic research, and evaluation of electoral trends
  • Coordinated media communications including pitching stories to news outlets, drafting press releases and editorial submissions, and press conference and press packet production
  • Managed campaign websites from concept to copy and creative layout. Lead new-media outreach through the use of blast e-mail marketing campaigns and social media strategy
  • Managed all aspects of mail production, including copywriting, design, editing, printing and postal delivery on budget and under tight time constraints

  • Worked with labor unions, candidates, campaign and political action committees to win more than  40 races in 2005 and 2006, from Congressional seats to local bond and tax measure victories
